This week's top real estate headlines

 Music manager extraordinaire Scooter Braun must have been singing "You're The One That I Want" to John Travolta's former Brentwood home! He picked up the property from the veteran actor in an off-market deal for a whopping $18 million. Meanwhile, Sandra Lee is cooking up something good in Malibu. The Food Network star just recently ended her longterm, high-profile relationship with New York governor Andrew Cuomo, but she's already bouncing back nicely and treated herself to a multimillion-dollar home in the coveted celebrity enclave.

In other news, "South Park"'s Matt Stone listed his longtime Venice residence, Grindr founder Joel Simkhai bought a snazzy $13 million manse, Sarah Aarons is the latest musician to buy a home in Los Feliz, RH CEO Gary Friedman made yet another colossal real estate buy, Max Greenfield and Tess Sanchez are moving into a wildly decorated Pacific Palisades cottage, "Entourage" creator Doug Ellin listed his home for $8 million, and Bravolebrities Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark dropped big bucks on a home in Hollywood Hills.

John Travolta Quietly Sells Longtime Brentwood Compound to Scooter Braun 

Records reveal that Travolta picked up the 2.35-acre estate way back in 1997 for about $3.5 million. At the time, the sprawling Spanish-style hacienda included a main house with five family bedrooms, two maid suites and a large gym, a driveway guard house for shooing away all those pesky trespassers, and an attached three-car garage plus a generously-scaled motorcourt.
