This week's top real estate headlines

Celebrity saxophonist Kenny G is singing a new tune in Studio City. The musician recently relisted his low-key home for $3.5 million — a little bit less than the $3.7 million he was asking for the property in 2018. Meanwhile, 2020 is off with a bang and real estate records are being broken all across L.A. This time, businessman Thomas J. Swan III and his husband Joe Townley purchased an imposing red-brick Tudor home in Hancock Park from Nickelodeon president Brian Robbins and his wife Tracy James for an eye-popping $19 million in an off-market deal.

In other news, "Fear the Walking Dead" actress Alycia Debnam-Carrey is zombie-walking into Hollywood, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" writer Lauren Pomerantz and her wife paid more than $100,000 over the asking price for a fairy tale-like Tudor in Los Feliz, "Cougar Town" actress Briga Heelan is the latest celeb to slink into L.A.'s Eastside, Becca Tobin is settling into a peaceful Mediterranean-style cottage in the Hollywood Hills, and Chinese businessman Cheung Cheng Kiu is about to make one of the most expensive home purchases in the U.K.
