This week's top real estate headlines

In a surprise move, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star and infamous "momager" Kris Jenner sold her Hidden Hills estate for $15 million in an all-cash, off-market deal. A further plot twist — the buyer was none other than German heiress Katharina Harf, the same woman who bought Kylie Cosmetics last year for $600 million. Meanwhile, over in Miami, celebrity power couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez ponied up $40 million for a lavish, Spanish-style mansion on Star Island. Their new neighbors include names like Sean "Puffy" Combs, Rosie O'Donnell and Shaquille O'Neal.

In other news, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have listed their home in the mountains above Beverly Hills for $24 million, Sumner Redstone's ex-girlfriend Sydney Holland has hoisted her Pacific Palisades residence on the market for $11.5 million, Lachlan Murdoch was revealed to be the buyer of Cheryl Tiegs' Bel Air estate, Herbalife heir Alex Hughes paid $9 million for a Malibu beach house, YouTube star Carter Sharer is moving into Holmby Hills, "HIMYM" creator Carter Bays bought a multi-acre property in La Cañada Flintridge, rapper Arizona Zervas dropped $4.3 million on some new digs in the Hollywood Hills, and "The Rubin Report" host Dave Rubin shelled out $5.2 million for a contemporary Encino abode.

Kris Jenner Unloads Her $15 Million Hidden Hills Mansion

Jenner bought the modern farmhouse-style mansion about three years ago for just under $10 million, subsequently hiring acclaimed designers Tommy and Kathy Clements and Waldo Fernandez to give the place a sophisticated makeover; the glitzy resulting product was published in Architectural Digest last year. Even with the costly interior renovations, it seems clear that the ever-savvy businesswoman and self-titled “momager” still walked with a hefty profit on this deal.
