This week's top real estate headlines

Sofia Vergara is currently the best-paid actress on television, so it’s no wonder that she's using some of her cash to invest in real estate. The "Modern Family" star and her husband, Joe Manganiello, have splashed out $26 million for a humongous Beverly Park mansion located in the mountains above Beverly Hills. Meanwhile, multibillionaire David Geffen has purchased a massive $62 million compound with some serious Old Hollywood ties. The 3.3-acre property consists of three parcels of land, two of which were owned by Tinseltown mogul Lee Wasserman and the other by Frank Sinatra.

In other news, Kyle Richards and her hubby Mauricio Umansky are trying yet again to sell their Bel Air home, author Dean Koontz has bought another Mediterranean-style Irvine manse, actor and comedian Henry Zebrowski picked up a Valley Village house, YouTuber Rudy Mancuso is joining his fellow influencers in the SFV, Serge Azria purchased Diane Keaton's old Bel Air estate for $16.4 million, and "Vampire Diaries" creator Julie Plec shelled out $6 million for a quirky farmhouse-style home in Studio City.
