Discover new favorites as we take your taste buds on a trip packed with recipes, insider info and inspiration.
First Stop: Goudas
This quintessential Dutch cheese is one of the most popular in the world. Here in The State of Cheese, our cherished goudas are loved for their versatility and ability to adorn the simplest of dishes. Pair gouda with fruit or charcuterie, or tap into its amazing melting properties. Whether you prefer it aged with complex nutty notes, flavored, smoked or mild and buttery, there’s a gouda for every gourmet.
Caramelized Pineapple Picks
Gouda Quesadillas + Fresh Pico
Artisan Alpines
Alpine cheeses like gruyère hail from the Alps. In Wisconsin, we are so good a crafting this style of cheese that you can find 2016 World Champion, Roth Grand Cru® Surchoix. Also, look for the most-awarded cheese in American history, Uplands Pleasant Ridge Reserve, or Roelli Little Mountain, which both have won Best of Show in the American Cheese Society’s competition. Taste their nutty flavors with grassy, fruity or sweet notes. Serve solo with white wine or melt them to elevate recipes like our Alpine-Style Cheese and Prosciutto Flatbreads.
