Disney is shifting all of its FX content exclusively to Hulu
Disney is shifting all FX network library content exclusively to Hulu as of March 2020.

In addition to more than 40 FX shows including "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and "American Horror Story," four new FX series will go exclusively to Hulu without airing on the linear channel.

The FX-Hulu arrangement aligns with how Disney is positioning Hulu in the crowding SVOD market and within Disney's SVOD arsenal.

Making FX shows available to stream on Hulu could siphon off some of FX's ability to compete in a linear environment — but Disney seems OK with that tradeoff as it looks to prime Hulu for success in the streaming-dominated era.
