Distribution facility receives LEED certification

The distribution facility 220 GSP Logistics Parkway has received LEED-NC Certification. The facility, which spans more than 700,000 square feet, features energy-efficient installations that minimize environmental impact and reduce utility costs.

Golftec opens 2nd location in Greenville

Golftec has opened an instruction and club-fitting center in Suite C at 4100 Pelham Road in Greenville. Kyle Mason, Greenville Golftec manager, will oversee operations at the new facility.

Valvoline opens in Pickens

Quality Automotive Services Cos., a franchisee of Valvoline Inc., has acquired a quick lube location in Pickens that is now operating as a Valvoline Instant Oil Change service center. The location, at 2230 Gentry Memorial Highway, marks the company’s 12th service center in South Carolina, according to a news release.

S.C. Department of Commerce awarded Step grant

The S.C. Department of Commerce has received a State Trade Expansion Program grant of $360,400, the full amount requested, from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Oktoberfest at NOMA Square

NOMA Square, beside the Hyatt Regency in downtown Greenville, will be transformed into a Bavarian biergarten during this three-day community celebration. The event will feature German food and beer, live entertainment, games and contests.

Art on the Trail

The eighth annual Art on the Trail event in downtown Travelers Rest is Saturday. Art on the Trail is a one-day immersive art experience set along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Enjoy local fare from select food trucks and shop at the art market. Performances, literary readings and children's art activities are also scheduled.
