Today was the coldest morning in six months in Minnesota. The temperature bottomed out at 24 degrees Tuesday morning at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Up north, temperatures bottomed into the teens and Bemidji hit 9 degrees. Winds gusted to around 50 mph along Minnesota’s North Shore near Grand Marais.

Minneapolis entrepreneur launches collaboration with Target
North Minneapolis native Houston White is what one might call a “Renaissance Man.” The local fashion designer owns a space in North Minneapolis at the corner of 44th and Humboldt Avenue N. There, he operates a barbershop, a men’s apparel shop and a café, known as The Get Down Coffee Co.
 
6 1/2 years in prison for man who burned buildings following George Floyd's murder
Jose Felan Jr., 36, apologized for setting fires at Gordon Parks High School in St. Paul, a nearby Goodwill store and 7 Mile Sportswear. Felan told the court on Tuesday he "got caught up in the chaos and made the biggest mistake of my life."
Diversity a strength on U's Morris campus, student leader says
University of Minnesota regent Steve Sviggum remains under fire for comments he made last week about the makeup of the student body at the University of Minnesota Morris. Morris student body president Dylan Young wrote an open letter pushing back on Sviggum’s comments.
 
Coating of snow means skiing's a go for at least two Minnesota ski hills
At least two Minnesota ski areas are taking advantage of this week's chilly weather to get an early start on winter.
