• Register now for the virtual seminar How Does Diversity Affect Innovation in Pharma? to be held by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Chief Officer for Scientific Workforce Diversity this Wednesday, September 14 from noon to 1 p.m. ET.
  
  
• The NIH Office of Research on Womens Health is hosting Diverse Voices Virtual TalkViolence and Women: Trauma and Addiction Impacts on Pregnant/Postpartum Women on September 29, 2022 at 2 p.m. ET.
  
  
• The Helping to End Addiction Long-termInitiative, or NIH HEAL Initiative, will hold a technical assistance webinar on October 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. ET to provide information about two current funding opportunities for studies on sickle cell disease pain management.
  
  
• The multiagency Workshop on Housing and Obesity: Gaps, Opportunities, and Future Directions for Advancing Health Equity will be held on November 14 and 15, 2022.

Funding Opportunities

• The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) has a current funding opportunity announcement (FOA), Fostering Mental, Emotional, and Behavioral (MEB) Health Among Children in School Settings: Opportunities for Multisite Trials of Complementary and Integrative Health Interventions (Clinical Trial Optional) (RFA-AT-23-003). Projects that focus on reducing health disparities and advancing equity in MEB health among youth from health disparity populations are of high interest for this FOA. The application deadline is October 28, 2022.
  
  
• Two recent Notices of Special Interest focus on research on the health of sexual and gender minority populations. NCCIH is participating in both. Please read the notices to find out about our areas of interest.
