Message from Mike Norman, CEO |
|
I became CEO on March 1 and WOW!- a lot has happened. My original plan was to get to know more of you by name and face as your families visited us for our daily science programming and special events like ThunderBlast! As a native Louisvillian, I like many of you, have very fond memories of visiting Kentucky Science Center, especially as a parent of two (now college students) boys. I think we can all agree, our new normal has changed tremendously. Disruptive does not begin to describe the impact of this, but if we all continue to do our part and stay healthy at home (#HealthyAtHome), we will get through it. |
| Our team at Kentucky Science Center misses being with you and is planning for the time when we will be back together, having fun, being curious, and learning the Kentucky Science Center way. This past weekend would have been our annual Thunderblast party, which is one of my personal favorite events each year. I’m hopeful we’ll spend a humid summer day in August together, watching the amazing airshow and fireworks and having fun like only we can! |
This past week also marked the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. While Earth Day reminds us to appreciate our environment, my hope is that you seize the opportunities to appreciate all the awesomeness of our environment every day. Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, there is plenty to appreciate if we look for it. We continue to provide science education to our members and families online. Follow our social media channels for new content weekly. In addition to the online education, our team is working to make sure we are ready to welcome you in to a safe and fun learning environment when public restrictions are lifted. We are excited about what's in store for the future with new exhibits and programming! If you haven’t already, please take time to complete the visitor survey sent to you on April 16. I look forward to being with you soon. Be safe, and we’ll be together soon to Do Science. #TeamKentucky, #TogetherKY #INthistogether Mike Norman, CEO |

Help Louisville Tourism and Kentucky Science Center |
|
We know and respect that this is a challenging time and hope that you are safe and well. While we progress through this fluid situation, Kentucky Science Center in partnership with Louisville Tourism would like to invite you to share your opinion on your visitor experience in Louisville. This feedback is extremely important to us as we look to improvements for future visits when the time is right to travel again. |

As our way of saying thank you, all respondents will be entered in a sweepstakes to donate to the non-profit Feeding America or win one of several Amazon.com e-gift cards. In light of the current events, we encourage everyone to stay safe and healthy. Thank you in advance for your help. |
