April 27, 2022

Good morning! If you read today's 12 Things to Know in Travel, then you will see that the airlines are going to be addressing the debacle that took place in Florida a couple of weeks ago. They're trying to prevent a summer of travel chaos but it's going to be difficult due to the surge in demand, short-staffed airlines (especially when it comes to pilots), and capacity restraints. Here's my advice for minimizing the chaos of traveling this summer.

Celebrate Mother's Day at Terranea
Perched on the rugged cliffs of California's coastline, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Terranea is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful places in California and rivals the best in the world. My family and I spent a couple of days there last week (photo above) and it makes the perfect getaway any time of year but also a wonderful place to celebrate Mother's Day. Learn more about Mother's Day at Terranea here.

Today's Travel Tip
The Internet's Most Unique Clock
I’ve seen all kinds of clocks on the internet, including dozens of different faces for my Apple Watch, but none of them come even close to the Earth Clock. It's not the fastest way to tell time but it is certainly the most unique. Geography and travel lovers will love it and it makes a great conversation piece, too. Check it out here.

Travel Product of the Week

Boxed Pen Set
I don't know about you but I'm always looking around for a pen. In this digital age, pens seem to have become scarce commodities but we do still need them. (Check out this tip about why you should always have a pen in your bag when you travel.) This box set of rose gold pens makes a great gift for Mom (or yourself!) They come in a variety of colors. Check them out here as well as other great Mother's Day gift ideas.
