Studies show gardening and being around nature may benefit one's physical and mental wellbeing, and a recent study showed even houseplants are capable of providing this benefit, notes Lauriane Suyin Chalmin-Pui, Ph.D., writing in an article on World Economic Forum. Dr. Chalmin-Pui recommends indoor gardening as a worthwhile hobby for this reason, as well as for plants' abilities to remove pollutants and humidify the air.
