A BRAND REIGNITED

THE DOGGERSBANK LEGEND

Small yet mighty with durability at its core, the legend of the Doggersbank continues to grow. The rugged explorer has excited adventure-seeking owners around the world since the day Vripack founder Dick Boon conceived the design in 1968. Sitting comfortably in today’s coveted 20m to 30m size range, the well-engineered Doggersbank 67, 77, 87 and 97 Offshore models possess cross-generational appeal, large interior volume and full-displacement stability. Ticking all the boxes for today’s adventure-hungry owners, the Doggersbank brand is enjoying a new lease of life.

A LEGENDARY RANGE IN CONSTANT EXPANSION

From the first 10.8m steel hulled model to today’s reinvigorated 30m Offshore iterations, a single commonality threads throughout the Doggersbank DNA – owners’ unrelenting passion and the boats’ steadfast capability.

The pocket-sized explorer's robust pedigree derives from its design characteristics. A high bow for traversing rough waters. Autonomy at sea for long-distance exploration. And unrivalled onboard comfort. More than 750 models have been built to date, and the list keeps on growing. Each one serves as a seafaring ambassador for human centred design, naval architecture and Dutch build quality.

From Arctic voyages and world circumnavigations to family cruising on both sides of the Atlantic, the secret to the Doggersbank’s success lies in its ability to serve multiple owners’ needs. From Blue Spirit to Coy Koi, and Minnow to Gayle Force – the smallest private Marshall Island flag boat to ever venture to the Southern Peninsula – the list of previous builds is impressive.

PRECEDED BY A ROBUST REPUTATION

In today’s era of experiential yachting, where exploration vessels venture to remote cruising grounds and owners partake in thrilling acts of adventure, the Doggersbank Offshore has come into its own. It is both an ideal start-up project for a family’s debut venture and a reliable transatlantic vessel for salty seasoned sailors.

In 2020, Altena, a recognized Doggersbank shipyard in the Netherlands, signed a contract for the second 66’ / 20.00m new build for a new client, 18 years since its previous. The boat launched in early 2022, with a third hull ordered in quick succession. After a small elongation becoming the fully updated 67’ / 20.50m model.

In the past couple of years there has been a growing interest around the world for the Doggersbank Offshore models. Buoyed by the success of its 60-year history, the legendary Doggersbank is enjoying a new lease of life, supported by a newly launched rebrand and website to showcase its heritage and Doggersbank new regional partner in North America, John Clayman. During the Anacortes Boat & Yacht Show featuring Trawlerfest taking place between 19-21 May, in Washington, US, John Clayman will be present representing Doggersbank.
