Don't Be Afraid of These Five Small Caps

Well, that's a wrap for January.

Stocks are off to one of the strongest starts we've seen in years, with the S&P 500 Index closing the month up 6% as money came flowing back in after last year's bear market. And things are only looking up.

With the first month of 2023 officially in the books, investors are trying to get an idea of how the rest of the year will unfold. And that's exactly what we discuss on today's new episode of Making Money With Matt McCall.

Then, I turn my attention to a sector that's often feared and overlooked by both the average investor and big firms on Wall Street...

I'm talking about small caps.

Small-cap stocks are often considered high-risk, volatile assets. And while that may be true for some, the assumption is pretty inaccurate overall. Not every single small cap is risky.

So, I examine the performance of a few small-cap exchange-traded funds in the podcast. But it's not just about how they traded in January. We want to see what they've done in recent years and consider how they're likely to perform over the long term, too.
