Who needs seats? A carjacking for the agesAuto theft is a serious problem in America, but usually, it can be prevented with solid locks and quick thinking. But what happens when a carjacker is completely unafraid of you and doesn’t care if they have a place to sit? That’s what happened during a recent carjacking in Queens, New York when a man stole a vehicle with the driver still inside it. Unlike conventional car thieves, he didn’t demand the driver get out of the car before taking off. Instead, he forced his way into the vehicle and sat on top of the driver — pinning them and leaving them helpless. The police engaged in a long-winded chase that took them all the way into Pennsylvania, where the thief got out and fled on foot. The victim was unharmed and was able to leave the scene without any issues. Still, this is just another reason to always keep your door locked when you’re out and about. You never know when someone will just sit on you. To keep your car safe from thieves, try these high-tech solutions to auto security.
