The January edition of Microsoft's Patch Tuesday release is a formidable update in its own right, containing updates for 56 CVE-listed flaws including an actively targeted flaw in Office, and critical vulnerabilities in Edge and Internet Explorer.
The Verge | The Wi-Fi Alliance has announced WPA3, a new standard of Wi-Fi security features for users and service providers. This is welcome news, given that a Wi-Fi exploit was uncovered late last year which affected all modern Wi-Fi networks using WPA or WPA2 security encryption, letting attackers eavesdrop on traffic between computers and wireless access points.
Infosecurity Magazine | Reddit has confirmed that one of its email providers, Mailgun, has been breached, resulting in the hacks of user profiles and their linked cryptocurrency accounts. Attackers infiltrated Reddit accounts using password reset emails sent via the third-party vendor. Several Redditors also reported that their Bitcoin Cash tip accounts had been emptied out.

G Suite Updates | As part of their ongoing accessibility initiatives, Google is launching new features for Google Sheets, Slides, and Drawings. Specifically, they're adding Braille support in Google Sheets, and screen magnifier support in Google Slides and Drawings.
G Suite Updates | You can now search for content in a specific folder in Google Drive. Only folders that are within your My Drive or within Team Drives can be searched; if you have a folder that is shared with you, first add the folder to your My Drive.
G Suite Updates | Google is introducing three new Gmail privileges that G Suite super admins can grant to other users—without needing to give them super admin status: (1) Email Log Search, (2) Access Admin Quarantine, and (3) Access Restricted Quarantines.
