Workers at Amazon, Instacart and some retail and grocery stores went on strike in recent days, citing concerns about safety supplies and hazard pay amid the coronavirus pandemic. One Amazon employee, who was on paid quarantine and had received numerous warnings for violating guidelines about social distancing, was fired after participating in the protest.
