There are so many hackers and scams populating the internet it's easy to make the mistake of clicking a malicious link or downloading a malware-infested program. But what seems like an innocent mistake could actually ruin your machine or cost you tons of money. That's why it's important to avoid these common mistakes when downloading files.

Recording your phone screen can be far more useful than just taking a screenshot. Never tried it? Here’s how to do it on an Android device:

• Swipe down from the top of your screen to open Quick Settings.
• Select Screen record. If you don’t see it, swipe right or down again to expand the menu.
• Enable recording, if necessary, then select what you’ll be recording and hit Start. Your video will begin recording after a short countdown.
• When you’re ready to stop recording, swipe down from the top of your screen and select the Screen recorder button to end the video or hit the Stop button if your phone displays one.
