The 13th Annual Detroit Month of Design Festival
is a citywide celebration of creativity that gathers designers and the greater community to celebrate Detroit’s role as a national and global design capital.

Every September, partners across Detroit—from emerging studios to established companies and educational institutions—come together to show off their latest works and ideas.

These cross-disciplinary events take place in all corners of the city, highlighting the talent and innovation that makes Detroit the only UNESCO City of Design in the United States.
DETROIT: CITY OF THE FUTURE

With 85+ events ranging from Open Studios to Workshops and Fashion Shows to Installations and Exhibitions, the Detroit Month of Design offers a range of activations and activities that showcase Detroit creativity and innovation.
UNITED BY DESIGN 

This year's festival includes several workshops and tours showcasing sustainability and equity focused organizations in the city.
These creative problem-solvers work on issues surrounding land use, urban manufacturing and inclusive design. 

Detroit Independently Owned Business Treasure Hunt

This year's program guide features a treasure hunt spotlighting independently owned businesses in Detroit. Festival goers have the opportunity to answer questions, post pictures and win gift cards to the participating businesses!
