Overlanding in Africa

We’re partnering with Africa Rally to advise you on everything you’ll need to plan your African road trip, including:

  • Paperwork and visas.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Vehicles and equipment.
  • The best routes to get the most out of your trip.

The Africa Rally is a three-week adventure that will take you through South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. Starting on the 1st July and ending on the 22nd, the route will take you right past some of the most amazing sights and experiences that the continent has to offer. The route includes many of Africa’s National Parks as well as Mt Kilimanjaro and Lake Victoria.

To register, just visit the website and enroll between now and the 1st June.

The rally is open to any vehicle you choose – from motorhomes to motorcycles. In addition, enrolment is discounted for those who wish to complete the rally in a classic car or any vehicle that fits the organiser’s description of ‘ridiculous’.

The rally isn’t a race though – there’s no award for the fastest team and the organisers are encouraging everyone to go at their own pace. Instead, they are offering prizes for the best picture taken along the route, the best-dressed team (vehicle included), and the team that raises the most for charity.
