About the Session: As COVID-19 swept across the nation in Spring 2020, the entire health care industry took a significant financial hit. In fact, at its peak, health systems were collectively losing $50 billion every month. This was brought on by several factors, but perhaps most notable was the rapid decline in patient volumes. And while many systems have begun to rebuild those volumes, most are still struggling to see pre-pandemic numbers.
Before COVID-19 hit, AdventHealth found itself in a highly competitive landscape for Emergency Rooms (ERs) visits.
