The Landscape
In response to the pandemic, European Union lawmakers voted Wednesday on a resolution to give workers the "right to disconnect" from email and work during off hours. "After months of teleworking, many workers are now suffering from negative side effects such as isolation, fatigue, depression, burnout, muscular or eye illnesses," said Maltese lawmaker Alex Agius Saliba.
