Journalists across the internet were abuzz yesterday about Google's overhaul of Workspace. I don't know about you, but I wondered if that meant it was getting a new name—again.

Turns out that they're keeping the name, but adding some features that'll make the WFH life a little easier, including " "second-screen experiences" and taking Google Assistant for Workspace out of beta.

These seem like good additions. But if you could request anything from Google or Microsoft or any other productivity suite, what other productivity features would you want to see? Let me know in this new thread in the SaaSOps Community.
The Verge | Google is adding a smattering of new features to Google Workspace today, including new tools for categorizing your focus time in Google Calendar and Chat, better ways to join Google Meet videoconferences with multiple devices, and a version of its office suite for frontline workers. It’s also taking Google Assistant for Workspace out of beta and making it generally available.
BetterCloud | A recent study found that 38% of organizations haven’t automated any critical business processes. There’s a lot of untapped potential in automation—and IT will lead the way in making the most of it. But how? In this guide, we’ll explore some of the less obvious, but extremely powerful ways that you can leverage automation across your SaaS-powered organization.
ZDNet | Microsoft president Brad Smith said, with no exaggeration, that it's "the largest and most sophisticated attack the world has ever seen," with more than a thousand hackers behind it. But former SolarWinds CEO Kevin Thompson says it may have all started when an intern first set an important password to "'solarwinds123." Then, adding insult to injury, the intern shared the password on GitHub.
BleepingComputer | The delivery system for the Gootkit information stealer has evolved into a complex and stealthy framework, which earned it the name Gootloader, and is now pushing a wider variety of malware via hacked WordPress sites and malicious SEO techniques for Google results. Gootloader has been seen distributing them across multiple regions from hundreds of hacked servers that are active at all times.
How-To Geek | The good thing about the Microsoft Office suite is all the programs in the collection work pretty well together. One example is the ability to link or embed Microsoft PowerPoint slides in a Microsoft Word document. Here’s how it’s done.
MakeUseOf | Sparklines are tiny charts that authors can use to convey a sense of general trends or the overall shape of data. Most spreadsheet applications, including Google Sheets, support them. They make for a useful lightweight alternative to full-blown charts.
SaaSOps Community | Most of my free time lately is spent looking for things that can (supposedly) improve my WFH experience. What are some of your faves? Chime in on the thread above and help your fellow SaaSOps folks trick out their workspaces!
