Trump’s Metairie fundraiser: His legal problems notwithstanding, former President Donald Trump will be in Metairie later this month for a campaign fundraiser. Attendees will be on the hook for $23,200 each, politics reporter Tyler Bridges writes.
Bridge closed: It’s been more than a year since the bridge on U.S. 90 over the West Pearl River near the Louisiana-Mississippi line was shut down. That stretch of U.S. 90 comes into play for evacuations or when I-10 is snarled, which is, well, fairly often. Now, a couple of north shore lawmakers want Gov. John Bel Edwards to speed the reopening.

LadyBEAST wins one: A New Orleans performer who goes by the name "LadyBEAST" recently ran afoul of a neighbor due to the 20-foot-tall trapeze (yes, you read that correctly) in her yard.
