| Donald Tusk in conversation with Jonathan Freedland Tuesday 26 January, 1pm–2pm GMT Donald Tusk, former president of the European Council and former prime minister for Poland, will be in conversation with Jonathan Freedland. His tenure as European Council president between 2014 and 2019 coincided with multiple historic crises, from Russia’s annexation of Crimea and the Greek euro crash, to President Trump’s trade wars and Brexit - the latter of which he calls “the most painful and saddest experience” of his time in office. Just weeks after Britain’s formal exit from the EU, Tusk will be revealing his inside story on Brexit, reflecting on his political career, and discussing the future of the EU. | |
