Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Staff writer

Good morning, Acadiana Business newsletter readers. It's time for headlines. Let's get down to business.

Krispy Kreme donuts will be available at the Acadiana-area McDonald’s locations next year as part of a nationwide merger of the two iconic American brands.

The deal, which was first announced back March, will start this fall in the Chicago market and be rolled out eventually throughout the country, Krispy Kreme officials said last week.

The rollout in Acadiana could be next spring, said E.J. Krampe, CEO and co-owner of MacLaff, which owns 45 McDonald’s locations across south Louisiana.

You can read the story here.

Have a great day and thanks for reading.
