Free Resource | Visiting staff application | Some medical staffs still struggle with if and how to credential visiting physicians. Today’s free resource is a medical staff application for visiting physicians to complete, which covers the basics of verification. This application was developed by Arkansas Children’s Hospital, a teaching hospital that frequently has physicians coming in for a few days to either train or learn a new technique/procedure. Teaching physicians are considered visiting faculty and are required to complete a short application. A section of the application must be also filled out by the requesting Arkansas Children’s Hospital member of the medical staff. The form includes the requested time period, circumstance for requesting privileges, and scope of privileges requested, among other things. |
