Downtown arcade bar eyes early 2020 opening

Transmission will open at 1712 Main St. in downtown Columbia. Mobile barbecue operation Smokey Loggins will set up a brick-and-mortar location in the arcade bar’s kitchen. Transmission owner Cam Powell, who had been shopping for a location for more than a year, hopes to hold a grand opening in early 2020.

United Community Bank leases Main Street office space

The bank, which temporarily operated out of the Meridian Building since joining the Columbia market this summer, has leased 5,193 square feet of office space in the Bank of America office tower at 1901 Main St.

Panelists: Apprenticeships future of workforce development
