Downtown building's pending sale heads to court

BY ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

The future of the old BellSouth building in downtown Lafayette is now headed to the courts.

Reddoch Development Co., which has owned the 60-year-old property since 2004, filed a lawsuit against downtown property owner Ravi Daggula after their deal to sale the building failed to happen last year.

The two parties entered into an agreement to sale the 14,000-square-foot, two-story building back at 1001 Jefferson St.  in June 2022.

The building, now listed at $1.45 million, has sat empty for most if not all of the last 20 years since the Reddochs bought the property in 2004
