THE BIG STORY Democrats have released their impeachment case against Donald Trump
Things are about to start moving faster. The House Intelligence Committee released a 300-page report that found “overwhelming” evidence of misconduct and concluded that President Donald Trump “ordered the suspension” of military aid to Ukraine to try to benefit himself politically. The committee said there is definitive evidence that Trump withheld aid from Ukraine, as well as a visit for Ukraine's president to the White House, while demanding the country publicly launch an investigation into former vice president Joe Biden and his family in order to benefit Trump's 2020 campaign. The report doesn’t explicitly say the House should impeach Trump — that is up to the House Judiciary Committee — but it concluded that “President Trump compromised national security to advance his personal political interests.” Republicans put out their own report, arguing that Trump did nothing wrong. It’s a stunning early exit for the California senator, once considered to be a heavyweight among Democratic candidates. In a Medium post, Harris wrote, “My campaign for president simply doesn’t have the financial resources we need to continue.” Harris, the daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants, rocketed in polls after confronting Joe Biden over the issue of race at the first Democratic debate, one of the most memorable moments of the campaign so far. But she failed to turn attention-grabbing moments into sustained support for her candidacy. Her campaign spent much of its time searching for an identity. A substitute teacher was fired for berating a fifth-grader with two dads. After the boy said he was thankful he was “finally being adopted by [his] two dads,” the unnamed sub at a Utah school allegedly went on an anti-gay tirade. One of the boy’s fathers said the boy didn't want to speak up and get the teacher in trouble, but three girls confronted the teacher and told the principal. A police officer was caught on his body camera allegedly fondling a dead woman’s breasts. When his partner left the room, the Los Angeles police officer reportedly turned off his body-worn camera and allegedly fondled the dead woman's breasts. The incident was recorded because the cameras continue recording for two minutes after being turned off. A GOOD PROBLEM TO HAVE 25 TV episodes from this decade we’ll never forget
