Driver crashes through garage and into neighbor’s kitchen: Westlake Police Blotter

The Westlake police and fire departments at 11 a.m. on Jan. 26 responded to a vehicle crashing into an Orchard Way home.

Home Depot loss prevention reported Jan. 30 that an employee knowingly failed to charge the full amount for purchases made by the same man on two separate occasions.It was learned that the man is a family member of the employee.

Driver charged with OVI after passing police officer at 90 mph: North Olmsted Police Blotter

An officer in a marked patrol car was driving westbound at 11:35 p.m. on Jan. 15 on I-480 near the Butternut Ridge Road overpass when a car traveling at about 90 mph passed him. The female driver slurred her speech and had trouble answering the arresting officer’s questions, according to a police report.
