More visibility on the Black Sea region with our crop tour reports Each year, the Black Sea region brings us many surprises. Russia is once again center of market’s attention. The dry weather persists in main wheat producing regions for several months now, raising fears about wheat production 2021. Plantings progress well, but no sprouts are seen in many places yet. Some heterogeneous rain has arrived in a part of Russia last week, precipitations are in forecasts for the end of October-early November, but the weather remains very changeable. On the other hand, Russia is finishing its second record harvest in history despite the catastrophic yields in the South of the country, the main wheat-producing area. Russia and the Black Sea region remain very important to watch That is why, for the fifth year already, we have been preparing our reports for Russia, but also for Ukraine, Romania and Germany with crops conditions before winter, in spring, and with final production estimate several weeks before harvest in June.
