Meta on a mission to get its Quest headsets into the classroom
| Meta says it's been working with educators, researchers, and third-party developers to create new education-related tools
| Meta is planning to launch new software that would make it easier for educators to use its Quest VR headset in the classroom, CNN reported. Coming later this year, the tools will give teachers access to a variety of education-focused apps. The system will also let them manage and program multiple Quest headsets at the same time and offer oversight and control of how students are using the headsets. Using VR in this way could enable “new kinds of learning opportunities,” CNN said, but added that it also created “thorny questions about digital safety and the potential harm to humans who are having more digital interactions and fewer in-person ones” ... | |
