Give your loved ones the gift of online privacy this holiday season with DeleteMe |
Did you know, that at any given time, everything you’re doing while online is being tracked, collected, and collated? Samsung’s next stylus may take inspiration from the Apple Pencil |
The next Samsung Galaxy Z Fold might be much thinner, with an S-Pen that will remind many folks of another popular stylus |
Samsung is considering a new design for the iconic S-Pen that would enable it to offer a slimmer, lighter phone, Digital Trends reported. Next year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 will reportedly be a bit thinner than the current model, with an S-Pen that resembles an Apple Pencil. But such a change would come with trade-offs, including a need for the pen to be charged. Most of Samsung's phones have what's called a digitizer — a thin layer of glass that translates touch input into something the phone understands. Digital Trends’ audio specialist Simon Cohen recently went hands-on with this intriguing bit of kit, and found it to be the best camouflage-type speaker he’s tried to date. Simon praised the $399 Music Frame for its powerful sound, surprising bass response, and its impressive ability to not look like a speaker. But there were a few drawbacks, too, including some distortion of extreme lows, potentially awkward controls, and an odd choice of ports. Read the full review to find out more, including who exactly the device is aimed at ... |

If you didn’t become a VR gamer in 2024, you probably never will |
The last 12 months proved that cheaper headsets and better games still might not be enough to launch VR into the mainstream
|
After pretty much saying 12 months ago that 2023 was the year that VR gaming had finally positioned itself for mainstream success — and it not exactly happening — Digital Trends’ gaming expert Giovanni Colantonio has now decided to “throw a decade of hope out the window” by suggesting that while 2024 has been “a fantastic year for VR games ... the fact that it still wasn’t enough to win over skeptics means that nothing will.” Some standout VR games have landed over the last year or so, and the arrival of Apple’s Vision Pro headset has also made things more interesting, but skepticism about the platform remains. Find out about Colantonio’s hopes for VR going forward ... |
