Major record labels have joined forces to take two prominent AI music-making companies to court over alleged copyright infringement, NBC News reported. Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and others filed lawsuits on Monday against Suno and Udio-maker Uncharted Labs after the tech firms released AI programs that let users create songs from text prompts. The record labels claim that building services like Suno and Udio requires “copying decades worth of the world’s most popular sound recordings” to train the necessary AI models. Udio has yet to comment but Suno told the Guardian that its technology is “designed to generate completely new outputs, not to memorize and regurgitate pre-existing content” and doesn’t allow users to reference specific artists ... |

German audio brand Beterdynamic is the latest to launch a pair of open-ear earbuds, Digital Trends reported. The Verio 200 open-ear earbuds let you listen to your music, calls, and podcasts while remaining fully aware of your environment. Each Verio earbud sports a 16.22mm custom-designed graphene neodymium driver, which the company says delivers precise sound and excellent bass. Battery life comes in at 8 hours per charge, with the case providing an additional 27 hours. A 10-minute quick charge gives an additional 60 minutes of listening time. All of the episodes will now appear on Hulu at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday night instead of the originally announced premiere schedule of midnight on Thursday, June 27. War Thunder developer Gaijin Entertainment has apologized for using the aftermath of the Challenger Space Shuttle explosion in new official art, Digital Trends reported. The image, released to coincide with the upcoming Seek & Destroy update, features a composite of three images featuring some of the new jets coming to the game. But the debris cloud in the background was taken from imagery of the Challenger space shuttle explosion. The company said it had “accidentally used the explosion from the Challenger disaster in one of our key art images” and offered “sincere apologies,” adding that it would be “altering this artwork” soon ... |
