Apple is asking its own employees whether smart specs are a good idea |
The company is apparently still considering whether to launch glasses that could compete with Meta's Ray-Ban device

Citing people in the know, Gurman said that Apple has started gathering feedback from employees in focus groups organized by the company’s hardware engineering team. Gurman said it’s not unusual for Apple to use internal consultations when considering whether to enter a new market, as it can gain valuable feedback while keeping its plans secret, though as in this case, there’s always a chance that such activities may leak ... |

Digital Trends has gone hands-on with the Oura Ring 4 to find out if it’s worth buying over two exciting alternatives — Samsung’s Galaxy Ring and the RingConn Gen 2. The Oura Ring was already a compelling device and the review praises the latest version, which starts at $349, for its beautiful finish, comprehensive sensor array, reliable syncing and app, and clear data presentation. Amazon Prime Video has begun testing AI-powered story recaps |
X-Ray Recaps builds upon Prime Video’s existing X-Ray features, which help viewers dive deeper into what they’re watching |
Amazon has started testing X-Ray Recaps as a way to help viewers quickly catch up on a TV show they’ve been watching. The company said it’ll be useful for those times when you go to watch a new season of a show but can’t remember what happened at the end of the previous season, or if you miss a plot point because you had to leave the room. Whereas you might normally rewind or search online for a summary, X-Ray Recaps will “create brief, easy-to-digest summaries of full seasons of TV shows, single episodes, and even pieces of episodes, all personalized down to the exact minute of where you are watching” ... |

Robert Zemeckis wants to turn Back to the Future: The Musical into a movie |
But the director said there's something preventing it from happening |
Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis wants to do it all again, with a twist. Speaking recently on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Zemeckis revealed that he likes the idea of making a movie version of Back to the Future: The Musical, which debuted in London’s West End in 2021 before opening on Broadway last year. "I would like to do Back to the Future: The Musical just like [Mel] Brooks did The Producers, I would love to do that, I think that would be great," Zemeckis said, adding: "But there’s a big problem. The studio isn’t interested. I floated that out to the folks at Universal [but] they don't get it. So, nothing I can do." Well, for now, anyway ... |

Mario & Luigi: Brothership review: Nintendo’s new RPG will leave fans divided |
The new seafaring adventure 'adds more RPG depth to the series, but its flat writing and overabundance of gimmicks drag it down’
|
Digital Trends' in-depth review of Nintendo’s Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a mixed one, loving the new video game for its expressive animation, innovative Battle Plugs, and socially relevant story, while loathing its sluggish pacing, poor performance, and excessive number of gimmicks. As per the review: “I wouldn’t label Mario & Luigi: Brothership as a bad game, but what’s cruelly ironic is that it’s a middle-of-the-road effort that’s sure to sow the very division its story aims to combat. Some fans will love it, praising its cheery visuals and deep combat system. Others will hate it, feeling like it’s another part of a long series downslide” ... |
