In a hands-on review of the recently launched laptop, Digital Trends applauds its solid productivity performance, great battery life, comfortable keyboard, sturdy and and attractive build, and competitive price. But it notes that the display is “not the sharpest or most colorful,” and wishes it had a haptic touchpad.

Samsung’s announcement is likely linked to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition

 

Samsung has just dropped a video announcing a special event for Monday, October 21, in which it’s likely to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, Digital Trends reported.

Images purporting to show the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition recently hit the web, and analysis confirmed a three-camera setup and the placement of a few key details, such as the power button and the volume rocker. It’s also rumored to be significantly thinner than the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6, measuring 4.9mm when unfolded and 10.6mm when folded.

The special edition may only get a China/Korea release, though ardent fans will probably find a way to import it ...

Sony Bravia 7 TV review: superb brightness and color, but …

 

'The Sony Bravia 7 is an exceptionally good television — if you can overlook two pretty major caveats'

 

In its in-depth review of Sony’s Bravia 7, Digital Trends has plenty of positive things to say about the Mini-LED TV, which comes in four display sizes from 55 inches to 85 inches and costs between $1,500 and $3,000.

The display is bright and vivid, the review says, and offers excellent black levels and contrast. It also offers “extremely accurate” HDR/color, top-tier motion/upscaling, and is a breeze to use.

But the off-angle performance was found to be disappointing, as was the reflection handling, unfortunate drawbacks that amount to “two big hits for a TV at this price” ...

The Sisterhood stages a takeover in the trailer for Dune: Prophecy, HBO’s sci-fi prequel series to Dune, Digital Trends reported.

Set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ rise to power, the Harkonnen sisters (played by Emily Watson and Olivia Williams) fight to save the future of humankind and establish the powerful sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.
