Apple’s refreshed MacBook Pro models feature the new M4 family of chips. The M4 Pro and M4 Max chips promise significant performance improvements over their predecessors. The M4 Max, in particular, is designed for high-end tasks, offering enhanced graphics capabilities and faster processing speeds. Apple has also upgraded the machine’s webcam to a 12MP camera and is now offering a nano-texture glass option for the display, which continues to come in 14- and 16-inch sizes. Pricing starts at $1,599 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, and the entry-level model is available in Space Black for the first time. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus Community Edition is a fan-made smartphone born out of a fun project launched by the tech company in March, Digital Trends reported. The winning concept for the Community Edition’s look was based on “phosphorescence,” and various elements under the phone’s transparent rear panel have been coated to give them a soft glow-in-the-dark finish. It’s powered by only by light, and the glow lasts for hours before fading. Fans also created six original wallpaper designs as well as the phone’s packaging, which has a reflective finish to match the handset's glow-in-the-dark feature. Digital Trends has just received the new Arc Ultra soundbar from Sonos, and ahead of an in-depth review, it’s shared some first impressions about the new bit of kit. Right from the off, the Ultra produces “a noticeably clearer and better-defined sound than the regular Arc,” according to Digital Trends. “For both music and movie content, there’s an audible precision to the way mid- to high-frequency sounds are projected forward and to the sides. CD Projekt Red has revealed that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which comes with the Phantom Liberty DLC, will be the latest AAA title playable on Apple Silicon. The video game developer said it’s targeting a 2025 release that’ll support features such as path tracing, which offers a similar effect as ray tracing; frame generation for increased frame rates; and built-in spatial audio. The game will be available on the Mac App Store and Steam, and if you already own a copy of the game for PC on Steam, it'll carry over to your Mac.
