You are invited to submit a proposal to speak at the:
Home Health Payment Summit
DecisionHealth is recruiting home health professionals to present at the Home Health Payment Summit. The conference will take place Aug. 6-7, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas.

This conference will contain a multitude of sessions to help home health agencies navigate the current home health payment system (Medicare and other payors) to ensure agencies receive full and accurate reimbursement. Plus, agencies will prepare for dramatic changes to the payment system expected as part of the Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM). The two-day conference will be packed with compelling, real-life examples of how home health agencies can streamline processes to increase revenue while reducing costs.

We’re looking for home health agency executives and staff who specialize in billing, financial management and compliance in addition to consultants and attorneys to present on these topics. We seek professionals with direct experience and proven track records who can discuss in detail their recent successes and lessons learned.

If chosen as a speaker, you’ll be compensated for your:
  • Airfare, meals and lodging expenses
You will also receive:
  • Professional recognition as a speaker – in our brochure and in conference materials
  • Free admission to all sessions and networking events
To apply, email your proposal to us by Dec. 20, 2018. Note: We are looking for detailed proposals with results to quantify the success that you’ve had.

Presentation subjects may include topics such as:
  • Guidance about how to survive and thrive under PDGM
  • Home health payment policies and procedures
  • Home health revenue cycle & compliance management
  • PPS: The interaction of coding, OASIS-D and therapy to generate payment
  • CoP compliance strategies without compromising revenue cycle efficiency
  • Key regulatory changes and how they affect the home health revenue cycle
  • How to protect your revenue against audit activity
  • Ways to achieve high quality care with healthy profits
  • Compliance strategies that promote OASIS-D, coding and documentation accuracy
  • Documentation due diligence to prevent denials and overpayments
  • Managing the revenue cycle for non-Medicare payors
  • Best practices to streamline billing and collections (Claims processing, denials management)
  • Staffing secrets for revenue cycle success
  • Technology tools that can improve revenue cycle efficiency
  • Compliance programs that promote revenue integrity
  • And more…
Selection criteria
Presentations should provide concrete solutions that attendees can adapt for use at their companies, as well as quantitative proof of how the solutions worked. Presentations also should demonstrate entire projects from inception to completion, or to the present day. When choosing speakers, we will consider the following criteria:
  1. Specificity: No vague, sanitized presentations, please. Our attendees demand objectivity (both successes and setbacks addressed), facts, numbers, dollars saved/earned, mistakes made or avoided and lessons learned.
  2. Originality: We’re looking for fresh yet functional solutions to home health agency challenges, revealing real-world agency experiences.
  3. Practicality: We want sessions that speak to the immediate concerns of home health agency quality improvement managers and administrators. You should offer usable strategies that attendees can take home and implement.
  4. Slides, overheads and handouts: We’ll give special attention to presentations supplemented by informative audio/visuals and information-packed handouts that attendees can take home with them. Speakers should be willing to provide attendees with a relevant tool designed to help adopt strategies in presentation.
Application Instructions
  1. Print and complete this application form
  2. Submit application form with your detailed proposal, not longer than two pages. Your proposal should describe the subject and explain how it meets the selection criteria listed above.
  3. Submit your proposal by Dec. 20, 2018.
Thank you in advance. We look forward to hearing from you.
