Duke Energy gifts $500,000 to Unity Park

Duke Energy has awarded a $500,000 grant to Greenville’s Unity Park to enhance and protect natural wetlands. The energy company also wants to provide school children and other park visitors the opportunity to learn about the native species and wildlife living in the ecosystem in the middle of an urban environment.

Woof Gang opens in Greenville

Pet retail and grooming store Woof Gang Bakery has opened at 7 W. North St. in Greenville. The store is having a grand opening celebration Nov. 30 through Dec. 14. The event will feature prizes and discounts. The locally-owned franchise offers pet grooming and a variety of pet foods, treats, toys and supplies, according to a news release. Woof Gang has 130 locations across the country.

Fairway is sharing the love with Ronald McDonald House

Fairway Subaru has chosen Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas for its annual Share the Love Event this holiday season. From now until Jan. 2, Fairway Subaru will donate $250 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas for every new Subaru car purchased or leased by customers, according to a news release.
