Speakers have been confirmed for a number of the popular Masterclass sessions at this year’s Europort. 'Optimising the efficiency of shortsea operations’, which takes place on Thursday 7th November, will be chaired by Pieter Boersma, Business Director of TNO’s Maritime & Offshore Department.

Pieter will be joined by several industry experts will discuss a range of exciting and innovative new concepts designed to improve the economic viability and environmental performance of short sea transport. 

Europort is renowned for its focus on specialised shipping and in 2019 inland navigation will be one niche sector firmly in the spotlight, with a 'star billing’ reflecting the status of the Netherlands as home to the EU’s largest inland shipping fleet. Inland trade association Royal BLN-Schuttevaer will be holding its annual member meeting alongside Europort on November 8^th, while many of the exhibitors will also be showcasing technology driving inland shipping’s digital revolution as well as innovative propulsion and safety enhancing systems.
