The 2023 Fantasy football season was chock-full of surprises, and Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams was certainly one of them. Williams went from a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft to a waiver wire standout and ended up as the MVP of our 2023 All-Fantasy Team. If you want to know more about Kyren Williams' rapid ascension up the Fantasy ranks, Jamey Eisenberg has you covered, here.
In his All-Fantasy Football Team article, he highlights the fact that Williams averaged 21.3 PPR points per game this season, second only to Christian McCaffrey (24.5). If that's not enough to convince you of just how impactful Williams was this season, Jamey has a few more Fantasy nuggets that will likely persuade you to think otherwise.
In addition to Kyren Williams claiming CBS Fantasy MVP honors, you'll also find a detailed breakdown of his first, second, and third-team All-Fantasy rosters. His end-of-season rankings should give you a clear picture of which players you can trust going into next year's Fantasy drafts.
If you're in search of a complete analysis of tomorrow's stars and how some of the first-year players performed this season, please be sure to check out Jamey's Fantasy Football All-Rookie Team, headlined by another Los Angeles Rams late-round draft pick in Puka Nacua.
Nacua rose to stardom with Cooper Kupp sidelined for the first four games of the regular season. He developed a rapport with Matthew Stafford and never looked back. He went on to set rookie records for receptions (105) and yards (1,481), and we think his reign as one of the top receivers in the NFL has only just begun.
While there were plenty of success stories littered throughout the 2023 season, there were also a few lowlights that hit many Fantasy managers hard this year. If you'd like to know what went wrong with the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Austin Ekeler, and more, you'll definitely want to give Jamey's All-Bust Team a read in an effort to circumvent similar disappointments in 2024.
PPR Mock Draft
Our Fantasy team just completed its first full PPR mock draft for the upcoming 2024 season. It's never too early to mock! I lucked out on a pair of highly sought-after Ravens when I stumbled upon quarterback Lamar Jackson and wide receiver Zay Flowers. With Flowers' role likely to expand in Baltimore, I like the prospect of doubling up on Fantasy production from Jackson and Flowers week in and week out.
Chris Towers took an interesting approach by stacking up on 49ers when he selected quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, and tight end George Kittle. He also took a late flyer on J.K. Dobbins, who could be a Fantasy boon if he makes a full recovery from his Achilles injury.
Another item of note is that running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and Devon Achane came off the board faster than a cheetah with a caffeine addiction. If you're planning to draft them in your respective leagues, you might have to take them much sooner than you originally thought. If you'd like to know how Jamey Eisenberg and the rest of the CBS Fantasy team fared, be sure to take a look at the full results of our PPR Fantasy mock draft. You can also find Jamey's analysis of the draft there as well.
