The Bishop's Daughter

The Bishop’s Daughter, a debut novel by Patricia Johns, is this week's starred fiction selection. "Heartrending, poignant, and perceptive, this beautifully written story has a cultural rather than a solely religious focus and will appeal to fans of sweet romance across the board. A solid debut." Patricia S. Lemer's Outsmarting Autism: Build Healthy Foundations for Communication, Socialization, and Behavior at All Ages is one of two starred nonfiction selections. "This all-in-one guide should be on every pediatrician’s, teacher’s, and service provider’s radar, and on the shelf of essential resources for parents of children with autism." When I Arrived at the Castle, by Emily Carroll, is this week's starred graphic novel. "Carroll (Speak) turns in a bold tale of adult gothic terror and a cunningly crafted supreme achievement of comic art mastery. Once read, this wickedly perfect nightmare will live in readers’ minds throughout eternity." And this week's starred e-original is Amanda Weaver's The One I Love To Hate. "The likable protagonists add heart to the larger, more serious theme of ethical journalism in an era of clickbait and fake news."
