Earth Fare to close all stores, including 6 in S.C.

The natural and organic grocery store plans to close all 50 of its locations, including its Columbia store on Devine Street. The company said in a statement that the decision was based on challenges in the industry that impeded the company’s progress.

Expo aims to connect schools with teaching candidates

The South Carolina Teacher Expo will be held Feb. 28 at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. District representatives will be on hand, with interviews taking place from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Fast-paced April event to match employers, suppliers

Hemp farming applications being accepted through March 31

In the third year of the state hemp farming program, there is no limit on the number of permits that can be issued by the S.C. Department of Agriculture. Last year, 114 farmers and 43 processors participated in the program.
