Here's what's going on in the market this week:

 

US stocks fell on Friday to post losses for their final trading session of the week. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq fell 0.9%, while the Dow slid 0.5%. The small-cap Russell 2000 squeaked out an 0.2% gain.

 

Today, it looks like we're headed for a modest sell-off. Dow futures are predicting a 1.6% loss at the opening bell, and S&P 500 futures are down 1.3%. The declines may stem from growing concerns surrounding China's deeply indebted property sector, which sparked a sell-off in Hong Kong's Hang Seng Composite overnight.
