EAT 2020 back to the fields

In the Black Sea area, arid autumn coupled with snowy winter will have unexpected consequences on the crops

In a few weeks the snow will start to melt in the Black Sea region, bringing many surprises.

In Russia, for example, a snowy winter helped replenish moisture in the soil, but several fields went into winter without visible wheat sprouts. The question is whether plants were able to develop under the snow or not…

Just like every year, at the end of March and beginning of April, our teams go to the fields to assess wheat crop conditions in Ukraine, Romania, Russia and Germany, to deliver a second wheat production estimation for these countries after November.

For many years now, our forecasts have been helping to understand future movements in the wheat market and to make right decisions.

Be the first to find out our second production estimates!
