| Colleague,
Since 1995, the Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems competition has recognized outstanding engines and electrified propulsion systems, as well as the technology and engineering behind them.
During an initial evaluation of 39 vehicles, our analysts scored and awarded this year's winners based on horsepower, torque, NVH management, observed fuel economy and new technology on board.
For the first time in the award's 27-year history, four battery-electrics, a hydrogen-powered battery-electric fuel cell, two plug-in hybrids and a full hybrid made the list, along with two turbocharged internal-combustion engines. |
