Find out why major international broadcasters and platforms choose Pawa Meet us at IBC 2017: Stand 14.P26 EBS, the leading full-service provider of EPG and VoD metadata for platforms and channels worldwide, has rebranded their software platform Pawa2, an upgraded version of the highly-regarded Pawa.
Over the past two years EBS has both enhanced its customer portfolio and made major enhancements to the Pawa platform. These enhancements have added improved and increased functionality to accommodate the ever-changing world of broadcast requirements and the challenges that these bring to our clients.
Pawa2 is a multi-platform, multi-territory, scalable software solution that drives content discovery and delivers comprehensive TV metadata to all viewing platforms. It currently has a flexible ingestion system for dataloading as well, but what makes it particularly intriguing for both existing and potential clients are its most recent new developments. These developments have meant that it now has the ability to synchronise with broadcasters’ third party systems using Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). This functionality ensures that data can be shared in real time at any time. It also allows for the streamlining of internal processes, making the flow of data more efficient. EBS are currently working with one of our many customers to deliver the use of APIs in order to ingest and export metadata.
Delivering images to multiple vendors is a challenge facing all broadcasters, with more graphical EPG user interfaces leading to images being the key driver in viewers’ viewing decisions. Pawa2 allows broadcasters to dataload their images in at all possible hierarchy levels, and store, enhance and deliver images in multiple aspect ratios and sizes using a single master image. Pawa2 is also fully capable of reading metadata from Adobe products and storing this information in our database.
Pawa2 has been developed to such a high level that it is now a fully cloud-based system which provides clients with 24/7 access to the platform of their choice on a real time basis. The Pawa2 software is hosted on the Microsoft Azure platform, enabling delivery of fast access in a secure environment. |
