Six proposals to identify new substances of very high concern

The substances and examples of their uses are:

• 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol (EC 211-989-5), used in the manufacture of another substance, formulation of mixtures and in fuel products.
  
  
• 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol (EC 221-573-5), used in air care products, coating products, adhesives and sealants, lubricants and greases, polishes and waxes, washing and cleaning products.
  
  
• 2-(dimethylamino)-2-[(4-methylphenyl)methyl]-1-[4-(morpholin-4-yl)phenyl]butan-1-one (EC 438-340-0), used in inks and toners, coating products.
  
  
• Bumetrizole (EC 223-445-4), used in coating products, adhesives and sealants, washing and cleaning products.
  
  
• Dibutyl phthalate (EC 201-557-4), used in metal working fluids, washing and cleaning products, laboratory chemicals and polymers.
  
  
• Oligomerisation and alkylation reaction products of 2-phenylpropene and phenol (List No. 700-960-7), used in adhesives and sealants, coating products, fillers, putties, plasters, modelling clay, inks, toners and polymers.

We are looking for comments and evidence to gather new scientific information on uses, exposure, health effects, toxicology, epidemiology and modes of action at the work place on: 

• 1,2-Dihydroxybenzene (Pyrocatechol) (EC 204-427-5, CAS 120-80-9)
• Boron and its compounds (EC 233-139-2, 215-575-5, 215-540-4, 215-125-8, CAS 10043-35-3, 1332-77-0, 1330-43-4, 1303-86-2)
• Silicon carbide fibres (EC 206-991-8, CAS 409-21-2, 308076-74-6)

The information will help us in drafting scientific reports on workplace exposure limits.
