Save the date: Workshop to discuss the roadmap to phase out animal testing On 16-17 June 2025, the European Commission and ECHA will jointly organise a third workshop to discuss elements of the roadmap to phase out animal testing for chemical safety assessments. The purpose is to present proposed recommendations of the roadmap for stakeholder consultation. Contribute to this important discussion by joining us at ECHA or remotely.
You can register until 15 May 2025 to attend this free-of-charge event at our premises in Helsinki. No registration is needed if you follow the workshop's plenary sessions online. |

Drinking Water Directive
Decision on testing methods Our recent decision on determining the test guidelines and test specifications under the Drinking Water Directive gives an overview of the methods that ECHA considers acceptable in applications for inclusion in the European positive list.
This decision helps applicants fulfil the standard information requirements for:
physico-chemical properties; migration and confirmation of relevant chemicals species; and toxicological properties.
